ABOUT
Novae Militiae is a black metal project formed in 2009 in France, operating within the sphere of orthodox satanism and the left-hand path, where dark revelations manifest around the fall and the unseen structures that govern the order of the world.
The group has been built upon anonymity, outside the traditional codes of exposure, and its members remain unknown to this day.
Following a first release in 2011 with the EP Affliction of the Divine (Nihilward Productions), the project continued its development in 2017 with the release of its first full-length album Gash'khalah (Goathorned Productions / Sentient Ruins Laboratories / Argento Records), laying the foundations of a universe marked by a pronounced theological and occult approach. This direction was further deepened in 2020 with Topheth (Goathorned Productions / Sentient Ruins Laboratories), a denser and more structured work, consolidating the sonic and conceptual identity of the project, and leading to several live performances.
Through its compositions, Novae Militiae develops an oppressive and immersive form of black metal, rooted in biblical, apocryphal and esoteric sources, where music, texts and visuals converge towards a singular vision: that of a world in perpetual dislocation, traversed by unseen and irreconcilable forces.
Today, a new era begins for the project, who have sealed a pact with Serpent Sun Records for the release of its new album.
